ERIONT

Custom software · Engineering since 2006

Custom software development services that ship — and stay shipped.

ERIONT designs, builds, and maintains bespoke web applications, internal tools, and production-grade systems for businesses that have outgrown off-the-shelf SaaS. Two decades of senior-led engineering, codebases the client fully owns, applications still running ten years after we shipped them.

What we build

Six kinds of custom software, in particular.

We don't build everything. These are the categories where 20 years has given us sharp judgement — both about what to build and, equally, about when not to.

Production

ERPs & inventory systems

For manufacturers, wholesalers, and distributors whose process — karigar piecework, multi-stage QC, custom orders — doesn't fit ERPNext or Odoo cleanly.

Sales

Custom CRMs

When Salesforce, Zoho, and HubSpot all force you to bend your sales process. We build CRMs that match how your team actually sells.

Operations

Internal tools & admin panels

Replace the Excel sheet that everyone edits, the Google Form that breaks every Monday, and the four-tab dashboard that takes 10 minutes to refresh.

Customer

Customer portals & web apps

B2B wholesale portals, B2C subscription dashboards, marketplace admin panels — when your customer experience needs more than a Shopify theme.

Messaging

Newsletter, SMS & WhatsApp tools

Custom-built marketing and transactional messaging stacks — newsletter with templates and segmentation, SMS gateway integration, WhatsApp Business API for two-way customer flows.

Integration

Integration layers

Tally + Zoho + Shopify + your custom warehouse system — the integration spaghetti that makes data flow predictable instead of resentful.

Our approach

Discovery → design → ship → run.

No 80-page proposals, no waterfall handovers between disconnected teams. The people who write the code are in the discovery call. The same team supports it after launch.

  1. 01

    Discovery

    2-3 weeks

Understand the actual process. Map current pain. Wireframe the new system. Produce a fixed scope and quote.

  2. 02

    Design

    3-5 weeks

UI design, design system, clickable prototype. Review with the actual users — not just management.

  3. 03

    Build & ship

    8-20 weeks

Two-week sprints with demos. Continuous deployment to staging. Data migration and pilot user training in the final sprint.

  4. 04

    Run

    ongoing

Maintenance, feature additions, support — on a monthly retainer or per-project basis. Same team, no handover loss.

Tech we build on

Boring, proven, well-supported.

Your application has to run for five-plus years. That rules out framework-of-the-month picks. We use what has a strong community, good docs, and engineers you'll be able to hire in 2030.

Pricing model

Transparent ranges. No mystery quotes.

Final pricing always comes after a paid discovery sprint. These ranges are honest 2026 numbers from our actual project history — anyone quoting outside them in either direction is selling you something we'd be skeptical of.

Project scopeTimelineBuild costMonthly run cost
Discovery sprint (paid)2-3 weeks₹50K – ₹1.5L
Focused custom tool (CRM, tracker, internal app)3-5 months₹4 – ₹12 lakh₹40-80K
Multi-module application (ERP-class, B2B portal)8-18 months₹12 – ₹40 lakh₹60K-1.5L
Mobile companion app+12-20 weeks+₹3 – ₹8 lakh+₹15-30K

All quotes include GST invoice, source-code repo handover, and a 30-day post-launch warranty.

Why ERIONT

Twenty years. Senior-led. Code you fully own.

Since 2006

We've shipped software across two decades of stack churn — PHP/MySQL, Java/Oracle, Rails, Node, now Next.js + Postgres. Some of our 2008 projects are still running. That kind of longevity tells you something the brochure can't.

Senior-led, not junior-staffed

Big agencies sell through senior architects, then assign junior developers to actually code. We don't. The engineer you talk to in discovery is the one writing the code. Smaller teams, direct accountability, fewer broken-telephone games.

You own everything

Source code in your GitHub. Cloud accounts in your business name. Database credentials, API keys, the deployment pipeline — all yours. We document the handover so any future developer can pick it up cold.

Built to outlast us

Boring tech, predictable patterns, exhaustive READMEs. We design every project so that if ERIONT disappeared tomorrow, your application would keep running and another team could maintain it.

Clients stay 5-15 years

Most of our recurring clients have been with us for a decade or more. We optimise for the relationship, not the deal. The same team that builds your application is the team that fixes the edge case three years later.

Honest about what to skip

If you should stay on Tally + Vyapar instead of going custom, we'll tell you. If a SaaS subscription beats a build for your stage, we'll tell you. We turn away more discovery calls than we accept — that's how the projects that do happen stay good.

Frequently asked

Honest answers to the questions every client asks.

What is custom software development and when does a business actually need it?

Custom software development is the engineering of an application designed specifically for one business's process — as opposed to subscribing to an off-the-shelf SaaS product. A business needs custom software when (1) its workflow is unique and not served by existing tools, (2) it has 5+ daily users on the same tool, (3) cumulative SaaS subscription cost over 3 years would exceed a custom build, or (4) data ownership and competitive differentiation matter. For everything else, SaaS or off-the-shelf tools are cheaper and faster.

How long does a custom software project take from kickoff to launch?

A focused single-purpose tool (custom CRM, production tracker, internal admin panel) typically ships in 3-5 months. A full ERP-class system with multi-user roles, reporting, and integrations takes 8-18 months. A mobile companion app adds 12-20 weeks. Discovery + design is 4-8 weeks of that timeline. We deliver in 2-week sprints with weekly demos so you see progress continuously, not in a 6-month silent block.

What does custom software development cost in India in 2026?

Realistic 2026 ranges for senior-led engineering: a focused custom tool runs ₹4-12 lakh build + ₹40-80K/month maintenance. A full ERP or multi-module application runs ₹12-40 lakh build + ₹60K-1.5L/month maintenance. Mobile apps on top: ₹3-8 lakh extra. Anyone quoting under ₹2 lakh is either using no-code (Bubble, Glide — fine for prototypes, breaks at scale) or assembling boilerplate they don't fully understand.

Who owns the code, hosting, and data when you build something custom?

You do, fully. ERIONT delivers: source code in a private GitHub repo under your account, full credentials for every cloud service, the database, the deployment pipeline, and any third-party API keys. We don't lock clients in. If you ever leave, you take the entire stack with you and any other developer can pick it up. We've handed over working code to in-house teams multiple times in 20 years.

What technologies and stacks do you build on?

Frontend: Next.js, React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS. Backend: Node.js, Python (Django/FastAPI), PostgreSQL, Redis. Mobile: React Native where a native app is genuinely needed. Cloud: AWS, DigitalOcean, Hostinger VPS, depending on cost and team comfort. Auth: Auth0, Clerk, or custom. Payments: Razorpay, Stripe. We pick boring, proven tech — your application has to run for 5+ years, not be a tech demo.

Do you do fixed-price quotes or only time-and-material?

Both, depending on scope clarity. After a 1-3 week discovery + design phase, most projects can be fixed-price quoted with a clear deliverable list. Open-ended iteration, post-launch enhancements, and unclear scope work better on a time-and-material monthly retainer. We don't fixed-quote vague scopes — that's where projects die.

Can you integrate custom software with Tally, Zoho, Shopify, or our existing systems?

Yes. Tally integration via TallyConnector or XML import. Zoho via REST API + OAuth. Shopify via GraphQL Admin API and webhooks. We've also integrated with Razorpay, Cashfree, Karix SMS, Gupshup, WhatsApp Business API, BigBasket-style logistics APIs, and any system that exposes a REST or GraphQL endpoint. Custom software that doesn't integrate with the rest of your stack is a different kind of trap — we avoid that.

Where is your team and do you work with clients outside India?

Our team is based in Jaipur, India. We work with clients across India and have shipped projects for international clients via remote engagements with weekly video reviews. Time zones overlap well with EMEA and APAC; partial overlap with US East Coast. We don't do agency-of-record relationships with US clients where time-zone separation makes weekly collaboration impossible.

What's the difference between you and a freelancer or a 50-person agency?

A freelancer disappears mid-project, doesn't return calls when the site breaks at 9pm, and rarely documents anything. A 50-person agency assigns you junior developers, sells through senior architects who never code on your project, and bills 2-3x what they pay the team. ERIONT is senior-led — the people you talk to are the people building. Two decades of doing it the same way: small teams, direct accountability, code that outlasts the engagement.

What kind of projects don't you take?

We don't build crypto/Web3 products, online gambling, or anything regulated where we'd need specialised compliance certifications we don't hold (medical-device software, payment processors, etc). We also pass on projects where the founder hasn't done enough discovery to articulate the problem — we'll help with discovery if you're early, but we won't build into uncertainty.

Have a build in mind?

Send a quick brief — what your business does, what you want to build, your rough timeline and budget. We'll reply within one business day with either a question, a discovery proposal, or an honest "this isn't the right fit, here's who is."
