How does weight reconciliation actually work?
Every piece of gold movement (issue, return, sale, exchange) records weight in and weight out. The system reconciles across the BOM (raw + stones + labour = finished) and against the karigar's expected wastage. Discrepancies surface immediately — by piece, by karigar, by batch, by category — instead of being discovered at quarter-end audit when it's too late.
Will it integrate with our tag and barcode printer?
Yes — most thermal tag printers (Zebra, TSC, Honeywell, Citizen, Argox) work via driver integration. We design the tag template (QR/barcode + HUID + purity + weight + design code + batch + price), and the system prints directly from any counter or workshop station. Hardware is supplied by you; we handle the integration.
Can the system handle exchange-gold and old-gold purchase?
Yes. Customer brings old gold, system records purity test reading (touchstone or XRF if you have one), melting wastage, and settlement against new purchase. The exchange voucher captures both legs — gold-in (from customer) and gold-out (to customer in new piece) — with reconciliation against your raw gold stock.
How does live-rate valuation work?
The system pulls gold and silver rates from your chosen source (MCX, IBJA, your broker, or manual entry) at end-of-day or live frequency. Inventory is revalued automatically — per-tag at the current category rate, then rolled up to category / store / firm / total. Month-end valuation runs without manual rate lookup or spreadsheet calculation.
Will it work alongside our existing billing software?
Yes — we can build the inventory system as a standalone module with API integration to your current billing software (Vyapar, Marg, Tally, or whatever) instead of replacing the whole stack. This is usually how clients dip their toe in — solve the worst pain first (inventory + reconciliation), then expand to custom billing + ERP later if it makes sense.
Are we tied in if we want to switch vendors later?
No. Code, repo, database, and credentials all transfer to your org from day one. You can take the inventory system to another vendor anytime. Most clients stay 5–15 years — but it's their choice, not a lock-in.
