What's the difference between jewellery ERP and jewellery billing software?

Billing software handles the counter — bill generation, tag scan, gold rate, customer ledger, GST. ERP wraps billing inside a larger system that also tracks workshop, karigar jobwork, manufacturing BOM, multi-store inventory, design library, hallmark register, and reporting across the whole business. ERP is the right pick for multi-store retailers, manufacturer-cum-retailers, or jewellers integrating billing with workshop and accounting.

What does a custom jewellery ERP cost in 2026?

Why not use ERPNext or Odoo with a jewellery customisation?

Both are technically capable — but jewellery-specific workflows (gold purity conversion, karigar wastage, hallmark batch, jamatag schemes) need so much customisation in ERPNext/Odoo that you end up with a fragile patchwork on top of a generic ERP. A native Next.js + Postgres build targeted at jewellery is usually faster, cheaper to maintain, and easier to extend. ERPNext makes sense if you already run it elsewhere and want a unified stack.

Will the ERP integrate with our existing Tally?

Yes. Two-way sync with Tally Prime — sales, purchases, stock, GST, debtors/creditors flow to Tally; your CA keeps working in Tally while the showroom and workshop run on the custom ERP. We also integrate with Zoho Books, BUSY, and direct GSTN for return filing.

Can the ERP run online and offline (when internet drops)?

Yes — billing and stock-out operations continue offline on local installations and sync to the central server when connectivity returns. Read-heavy operations (reports, customer history) require connectivity but never block sales.

How does karigar jobwork tracking work?

Issue voucher: gold weight + purity issued to a karigar with expected wastage % and expected return weight. Return voucher: actual weight in (finished pieces + scrap returned), reconciles against expected. Wastage and shrinkage tracked per karigar over time — productivity, reliability, and discrepancy reports help you renegotiate or replace under-performing karigars.

Will we own the code and data?

Yes. Repo, credentials, cloud account, database, and domain all transfer to your org from day one. We host and maintain under retainer if you want, but ownership is non-negotiable. You can take the ERP to another vendor anytime — though most clients stay 5–15 years.
